🌿 South Indian Main Course Recipe (Hinglish)
Ingredients:

1 cup Rice (chawal)

½ cup Toor Dal (arhar dal)

1 Tomato (chopped)
-
1 Onion (chopped)
-
1-2 Green Chillies (hari mirch)
-
1-2 Dry Red Chillies
-
6-7 Curry Leaves (kadi patta)
-
1 tsp Mustard Seeds (rai)
-
1 tsp Tamarind Pulp (imli ka ras)
-
1 tsp Turmeric Powder (haldi)
-
1 tsp Sambar Masala
-
2 tbsp Oil or Ghee
-
Salt to taste
For Coconut Chutney:
-
1 cup grated Coconut (nariyal)
-
1 tbsp Roasted Chana Dal
-
1 Green Chilli
-
Small piece of Ginger
-
Salt to taste
-
Water as required
Method:
-
Rice & Dal Cooking – Pressure cook rice and dal separately.

Prepare Sambar – Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, dry red chillies, onion, and tomato. Sauté well.

Add boiled dal, turmeric, sambar masala, salt, and tamarind pulp. Mix and simmer for 10–15 minutes.

For Chutney – Grind coconut, chana dal, chilli, and ginger with water. Season with salt.

Serve hot with idli, dosa, or plain steamed rice.
