DIWALI SPECIAL MASALA CORN CHAAT

 




๐Ÿง‚ Masala Corn Chaat Recipe

๐Ÿงบ Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sweet corn kernels (boiled or steamed)

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped

  • 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala

  • ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder

  • ¼ teaspoon red chili powder

  • ½ teaspoon black salt (or to taste)

  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice (or more as per taste)

  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for extra flavor)

  • A handful of sev (crispy gram flour noodles) for topping

๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ Instructions:

  1. Boil the Corn:
    Boil or steam the corn kernels until soft and tender. Drain any excess water.

  2. Sautรฉ (optional):
    In a pan, heat butter and add the boiled corn. Sautรฉ for 1–2 minutes for a warm, buttery flavor.

  3. Mix the Veggies:
    Transfer the corn to a bowl. Add chopped onions, tomatoes, and green chili.

  4. Add Spices:
    Sprinkle chaat masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, black salt, and lemon juice. Mix well.

  5. Garnish & Serve:
    Add chopped coriander leaves and top with sev for crunch.
    Serve immediately while warm!

๐ŸŒถ️ Tips:

  • You can add pomegranate seeds or boiled potatoes for a richer version.

  • Use frozen corn for quick preparation.

  • For a tangy twist, add a little tamarind chutney or green chutney.
